Catalytic Converter - used OEM or new aftermarket

    2000 Tacoma 4WD Base - no low gas warning light but it has AC!
    I would not be surprised if you could find a local muffler shop that will hook you up with everything for a fair price. You should be able to get it done for under $500 I would expect. But I can get a direct fit bolt on "Walker Exhaust Ultra EPA 53574 Direct Fit Catalytic Converter" via Amazon for $235 and get it on Friday for my particular flavor of Taco so I would probably go that route.

    A 5,000 dollar truck and you don't have emission testing have a test pipe made and call it a day!

    Yeah I bought a generic cat($130), and the 'drop in' flanges didnt line up,.....so cut em off and welded in place....

    I replace the back two pieces - tail pipe and muffler(walker $144)......
    shop charged me $100 to fit/cut weld all up....

    Well I just bought a set of converters from Ontario Exhaust on eBay. We shall see how this turns out. I’ll get them next week and will report back with my opinion. I didn’t see the point in getting a universal weld in when these are bolt in for the same amounts. They also have a little bit of warranty.

    I may be wasting my money but it’s worth a shot.

    sorry, missed this.

    I used regular SS. didn't bother with any springs. if my originals had them they were long gone from rust so didn't know to use
