Changing my oil. Went to clean out the catch can and it was bone dry.... I started looking at the lines and I think I had them reversed....

When I removed my oil fill cap it looked like a white cream.... SHIT, did I just F up my truck?

white colored oil usually means it has water contamination. I do not think a oil catch can could cause that. Also I don’t see how you could see that on the fill hole cap. Post a pic

It’s highly unlikely you messed anything up.
Correct the lines and mark them (so the mistake isn’t made again)

The white milky liquid on the oil cap is normal.
Water vapor and oil. It’s common to see this in cold weather.
The problem can be mitigated by longer drive times with a warm engine.

    Thank you all.

    I cleaned the cap already.

Oil looked good. No noticable signs of discoloration other then oil color

These "did I ruin my truck doing this completely benign thing" threads hurt my brain. The state of critical thinking skills is just sad.

Speaking of critical thinking, did you know you can identify the nature of a thread by the title and then not click it if you aren’t interested?

Cream means water, has nothing to do with crankcase gases.

I find Toyota v6's don't produce much blowby, so I wouldn't expect much.

    How is it routed?
