I knew that was going to get under someone's skin. :cookiemonster:

@literallynothing might not be the best example, since IIRC his truck didn't exactly come out unscathed from those jumps.o_O

I wouldn't recommend jumping a truck on OEM anything as far as suspension goes. There's way too many components that can break instantly, or simply doing so will strip tens of thousands of miles off the life of components, especially the LCAs. I'm still waiting for the first video of someone jumping with stock LCAs and have the tube part of the mount snap on landing and total the truck. If you've seen a stock LCA failure you'd be crazy jump on them. Just because something doesn't break instantly when doing something foolish, doesn't mean it isn't going to fail in the near future.

And the ramp that's used definitely plays a part of it, which goes back to people not knowing what they are doing. They watch videos of trucks doing giant jumps and think theirs can do it too without realizing the planning that goes into it, both on the truck and ramp and location that's used. They hit small bumps at high speed and borderline lawn dart themselves.

You can't watch that video and think for a second any of those guys knew what they were doing....I mean one of them had a sway bar on and the broke the link.

Also, when I say "don't understand what they are doing" I don't mean stupid, just inexperienced or doesn't know someone that has fucked up their truck doing that kind of thing.

Personally I don't see the entertainment in breaking parts and damaging a truck. That should be counter to expectations and indicative of failure at prep and driving.

I think jumping it would be fun. I also don't want to pay to fix it though. Ill jump my dirtbike or other motorcycles etc. Too much shit to fuck up in a truck that's not made to do that at all. IMO

After seeing this video, I think the RAM TRX will become a rare vehicle. Who isn't going to race Mustangs with their truck?

Yeah I don't think they knew it was a race. What a waste of fuel, and he could have probably used the extra weight that was burned off.

4 years of abuse and haven't had a issue yet. Proper suspension setup helps.
