So I was doing a little bit of off reading this afternoon and managed to get myself stuck on a sandbar. While trying to get unstuck a cloud of white smoke poured out of the engine bay, then went away. I have driven it 20-30 mikes since and it doesn't sound off, no more white smoke, not overheating, AC working, heat working etc. I'm just curious what might have caused it to do this?

I drive a 99 2.7 btw and here is a picture of the crime scene.

Anyway possible it was steam from the creek water hitting the exhaust, headers, engine etc?

The smoking had a bad smell to it? So I figured that wouldn't have been the cause, plus it just so happened to start smoking while I was gassing it pretty hard.

all your fluids where they were before the smoke? I vote creek water on the exhaust.
