This is totally true. I'm 5'7" and my brother is 6'1". My femurs are short, and that's what accounts for my smaller size. If my brother and I sit next to each other, he is only 1 or 2 inches taller than I am.

It's a deal breaker for me, the forward visibility in my 2nd gen was poor at 6ft tall, the roof just comes down too low. They put the rear view mirror too low as well. I did buy a Frontier, love the visibility and seating position.

Truly amazing that a normal person with a $35K+ vehicle has to contort himself to fit. It's not like you are a circus freak at 6' 2". The more I read about the Tacoma, the less impressed I get.

I was disappointed when I realized that to get heated seats you also had to have the moonroof. The wife says no heated seats is a deal breaker for her and headroom is a deal breaker for me.
I am really, really hoping that I fit in the thing without having to do anything goofy with my seating position. That or I just disregard the wife's wishes and get a sr5 with no moonroof or heated seats. I would be bummed if I have to get a full size because of a moonroof I wouldn't want anyways. It might be awhile before there is one in my area for me to test drive or even sit in, so I might be dreading this thought for another couple months.

OP, why not get an access cab? No moon roof and you can get jbl.

Toyota should've put in powered front seats that have the ability to raise and lower the seat to accommodate more body types. It's short sighted on Toyota part to have the seat height at a fixed position. For the record I'm 6 1 test drove the Sport and the SR5. No HR issues, even though there was no MR, it appear if there was I would've had room. My issue was when I put my seat where I wanted it, an adult couldn't sit behide me.

I was disappointed too four o six. I really didn't want moonroof either, but was willing to live with it for the rest of the package. I have to have a double cab because of kids. Really hoping Toyota changes their mind about only having premium and technology package with moonroof. I feel that is a mistake on their part...not that they are hurting in sales. They will continue to dominate the market...at least for the folks less than 6'2" tall.

I would really like to see some picks of these folks who are 6'3 and how they are sitting in the truck and where head hits.

This. I think it depends one one's proportions. I'm 5' 10", so not far from 6' and there is TONS of head space. If you tacked another 2-3" on me, I don't think it change much, there is that much space. But I also don't have a sunroof.

I am 6' 4" 200lbs. Went and sat in an SR5 at the dealer and I had plenty of headroom. Sat in the back seat with the front seat all the way back and the leg room is still terrible but the headroom was fine.

It all depends on how you are built. My legs are longer while my torso would be considered above average.

I really don't understand why they don't put seat height adjustment in vehicle either. Does anyone know if limited edition provides seat height adjustment?

So went back to a dealership today and played with the seats. If I lean the seat back, pull the lower portion of seat forward I can clear the roof by about 1/2 inch.

I have a hard time believing that anyone over 6'3 can sit upright without leaning seat way back and not hit the left side of their head on the roof. I manipulated seat in all sorts of directions. I suppose it is all about torso height. Salesman I talked to today said he had one other customer with same issue. I was able to get into a different 4runner and lower seat height with power seats and had a couple inches to spare.

There was no tacoma limited on the lot so I still want to see if that offers any additional adjustment, but as I read, I don't think it has height adjustment either, which just baffles me.

Did sit just fine in the platnium tundra, but damn that truck seems big. Very plush ride however. Also sat in Colorado but just can't make myself go with the Colorado. Although the Colorado had all the nice bells and whistles I will be missing, it just felt cheap. When I go look at the Colorado forums there is talk about things going wrong. On this forum it is more what mods to make, ect. Don't see a lot of problems with Tacoma, as my 2008 Tacoma proves.

Would rather just not have moonroof (which I fit fine without moonroof), and just throw in aftermarket speakers. Can just have my kids scream in my ear for blind spot monitor, and just stop when I feel a clunk for rear sonar:)

If no other trim, the Limited should've came with powered seats, but they don't. I think I can manage without cross traffic, sonar, lane assist, but powered seats would've been nice.

I'm a few atoms over 6' and have wear 31" pants, and always have trouble with headroom if there's a moonroof. Will be testing the 2016 Tacoma soon and worried it will be the same issue.
