I'm 6' and long in the torso. During my test drive of a DCSB Sport with moonroof, my head was nearly touching the roof liner. Hitting a bump or wearing a hat would be an issue. I do sit more upright while driving for what it's worth. This coupled with the near msrp pricing around here has me thinking about waiting a few years. Really just want all the tech without the stupid moonroof. Had one before and rarely used it. They have their share of issues too.

I'm 6'3" and have more than enough leg and head room in my 2012 tacoma. In all my vehicles I've had great leg and head room except for my 94 4runner. So idk whats the problem

I have lots in my 2012 Tacoma too, but the '16 with moonroof is drastically less.

Unfortunately the moonroof is the problem. I have plenty of room in my 2008 double cab. There is enough room in the 2016 without moonroof (but less than 2nd gen).

I am 6'3" and there seems to be the same amount as my 2nd gen had. But I also don't have the moon roof.

6'2" here and plenty of head room in my 2016 SR5, without moon roof.

The moon roofs most likely are the culprit eating up the head room.

My head hits the sunroof opening in my 2014 4runner passenger seat and I'm only 6'2. The driver's seat has 8 way power so the seat bottom is height adjustable. The difference between the seat heights when I have the drivers seat dropped is approximately two inches. With the rear seat base dropped 2" it is very comfortable and provides plenty of headroom. On both seats the seat slider assembly is mounted on top of a raised mount at the back of the seat. I tried popping the plastic cover off this mount to see how it's attached but didn't want to break it. Anyway it looks like you could take that mount out, replace it with flat bar and achieve the same two inch drop I'm getting with my height adjustable seat in the 4runner. I'm hoping the 16 is set up the same way as my 14 since there is no option for height adjustable seat in a Taco and I want one. Might be an option for you taller guys that still want the sunroof.

5'9"; longish torso; my hair touched in 16 with moon. Had to recline 1 click. (Getting a haircut soon; but, it's not like I am Margaret Simpson.)

Guess they figure tall people will drive around with the roof open.

My buddy is 6'1 or 6'2 and drives a RAM 3500 Laramie Longhorn and he got the moon roof under his girlfriend's insistence, and he complained to me many times about how, even with all the seat adjustments, he can't find a comfortable position to sit where his hair isn't close to the roof, vs his work truck (a Ford F350 without moonroof)

I'm 6'6" and test drove one with a moon roof. While technically I "fit," it was very snug and I had to lean my seat back more than I like. I ordered one without, I've had a moon roof in other vehicles and rarely use it due to excess wind noise. I guess their fine in the city.

Has anyone measured one with a moonroof from the seat to the headliner? That might answer a lot of questions about fitment.

I agree with the wind noise and even the occaisional rattle from some moonrooms. Toyota isn't he only brand tying the moonroof to the nice premium technology packages. Personally, I think they are useless and only potential problems. I guess some like the extra lighting coming in. I just see it as a way to make the lcd screen harder to see.

Will also say I havent measured it yet...regarding the difference between headroom with and without sunroof. I have seen that they post headrom at 39.7 inches, but that is without moonroof. I would subtract a least 2-3 inches from that with moonroof. If any current owners with and without moonroof could measure from edge of front of seat to headliner and from back of seat to headliner ( not to moonroof, as it is the left edge of moonroof that is height limiting factor).
