Took a chance and bought some 2005 Camry seats off of Craigslist for $50. Tried today to swap the track rails - it is a no-go for a few reasons.

Not sure if I will proceed or not. Seems like a lot of work for seats that are just ok....

I really need seats. At 280k miles mine are trash.

    Camry seats -

Why did you have to put stock wheels and tires on for inspection?

Tires are not allowed to stick out past the body. Mine are a solid 3".

Haha oh man that’s far. I’m actually moving to PA so I hope I’m not going to have issues. My tires are right at the edge of the flares

Worked on a little project this weekend. My splash guard / fender apron gasket thingies were flapping in the breeze, so I made some new ones!

@alphabravo did some work on a set and had a template online. They use a lot of holes that are not factory, so I set out to duplicate and improve upon the factory ones.

This took way longer than I had planned, but they turned out nice. Still waiting on new clips to hold them on. Amazon Prime tomorrow!

I drew in CAD, printed out and tested with some foam underlayment stuff I had in the basement. After about 5 revisions, I came up with this design. It tucks in a little closer than the factory ones did - also extends to where the washer bottle used to be on the passenger side.

Attached is a zip file with all of the PDFs. You can print 1:1 on 8-1/2 x 11 paper and tape together to get a template. CAD drawing also attached if you would like to build on my work.

Would love feedback if anyone tries it.

Cool. Not too far! Can't vouch for the tacomaworld crew, they may be a great wheeling group too, but check out the Keystone Cruisers link in my signature. Good group of guys!

    Yea I’ll check it out!

Think I’d have a problem with inspection?

Thanks for making me feel better about it, I hope that’s the case! I’m moving from FL which doesn’t have any type of inspections so I’m trying to cover my bases.

Ok, that’s enough taking over your thread!

Just read through your build thread - you will probably need to remove the wheel spacers for inspection.

Aww man really? I just put those on. I guess I should pull them off before I drive up there then.

I actually called an automotive shop in Philly and asked him specifically about spacers and inspection. He said if they are hub centric and everything is torqued properly he would not fail me for that. He said he knew what the law says but his priority was actual safety and as long as he deemed it safe it would pass.

Been stressing about Ball Joints for a while (every time I hear a clunk). Finally broke down and ordered them this morning. Hoping to get installed before wheeling next weekend.

Ordered online from Conicelli Toyota HERE. They have a nice website and good prices! Trying this because I recently lost my long-standing (15-20 years!) 25% discount at the local dealer, New Holland Toyota. They are now saying only shops can get a discount.

I'm more than a little miffed about this! They said the best they could do was $137 for each of the LBJs and $49.27 for the uppers. They have just lost a LONG TIME customer.

For my future reference, and if anyone needs part numbers....

Conicelli is awesome, they will even work with you on shipping larger parts.

    I think I'm in love!

Got the parts in two days - shipping was only $7.65 - would have probably cost me that in gas to drive to the dealer.

    Also included some goodies!

Been nursing a sore back all week, but hitting the trails on Saturday and really wanted to get my Lower Ball Joints replaced.

It was easier than expected - but I didn't have the energy to tackle the uppers while in there.

Nice set of past builds, not too far from you at all.
I'm right on the Taneytown/Littlestown/Hanover/Gettysburg area.
