It is Solidworks. It isn't accurate, but good enough to mock stuff up.

    Nice work!

I have a model of my old CJ5 that I did in solidworks awhile back, so I can appreciate the time that it takes to put this together.

    Milestone!

Driveshafts are lengthened/shortened and all new ujoints installed - even the CV!

I shot a quick coat of paint on them today.

Hoping to be driving it again within a week...

I think I've been at this game too long....
Went looking for a shifter boot in the barn and found a bunch!

    Looking for opinions -

Shifter boot from a top shift case truck looks like it would be the right spacing. Go with this, or mod the shifter to come out the original hole?

She lives again after 9 months!

Buttoned things up last night with the help of my oldest son (11yo).

    Summary:
    Clutch
    Flywheel
    Rear main seal
    Tranny seals and shifter seats
    Crawl box
Rebuilt driveshafts with all new ujoints
    Tubular exhaust manifold
    New cat
    New o2 sensors
    New muffler/tail pipe
    Poly steering rack bushings
    New rack guide - updated
And I'm sure some other stuff I've forgotten!

Still running the stock tcase xmember for now.

Wow! That was an impressive amount of work, especially on that transmission. So with the new crawl box, will you still need to regear your diffs or will you be low enough now with that new setup?

Still drives like a stock truck on the street. I'm ok with the current 4.10s.

The crawl box will be night and day difference on the trail for sure! Much more control and torque when I need it.

Next up is new carpet and the new seats I bought last year.

Bucket seat are so much more functional than the bench in a reg cab. It makes the storage space behind them so much more usable and easily accessible. Plus they're way more comfortable of course!

Indeed. I already have the same buckets, they are just shot. They look like they have every bit of 280k miles on them!

You planning on fabbing up a center console to fill the remaining space between the seats?

Trying to figure out what to do there.

I have a 4runner console and the part where the e-brake comes out unbolts. Thinking maybe I can do something there.

Yup, I did! I had it out a few weeks ago on a club run. It rocked!

Fighting a vibration right now - have some 4 degree shims to put in the rear axle and am hoping this fixes it.

Also have a leak despite my extreme efforts to prevent it!!! Not bad, but there is usually a drip hanging from the crawl box.

Only one picture from that day. Not much to look at, but something to make this post more entertaining ;-)

Nice! I wonder what the drip could possibly be from.

    Cazinpa...
After I installed my Inch Worm 4.7 case, I too had a small drip. Turns out that there are 2 allen plugs for the adapter plate that required some silicone before tightening into the plate. Once I did that, all good.

    Hope this helps you.

How’s the powdercoated rear axle holding up? I’m going to embark on a similar project.
