CB Antenna Hood Mount for 2nd gen?

I'm looking at trying to install a CB antenna in the hood channel on my 10 Tacoma. After reading over this thread, I was curious what you ended up going with? Any other info would be great.

 

Check my build link below. I followed PRS 2 TiFJ's example. You can get one made by him or RelentlessTaco.

 

I have one ready to ship if interested.
Material is 3/16" steel, ships bare for $25 shipped USPS priority.

 

Would this be one placed at the base of the driver's side windshield? I am really wanting to stick to the hood channel if possible. Possible?

 

I made Chickenmunga's so if you check out the link to his build with pics. It puts the antenna right between the hood and windshield

Doesn't look bad at all. That may work. Just to check would you be able to fabricate one for between the hood and fender? I'm just trying to get options, and this thread has been extremely helpful.

 

I think the hood probably sits too close to the fender to have adequate clearance. I wouldnt want it to rub off the paint and then cause rust on a brand new truck or something....

 

Got ya. That is what I was wondering on. I'll have to get back to you once I get the stuff. Also, I do like the bumpers you are making I've seen some similar ones around and they look sharp.

Ok, I will be getting to installing my CB this weekend. I did end up finding a hood channel mount. I will post some pictures after I get it in, as well as the the info for the in channel mount, if anyone is interested.
