    Dents in my desk have turned into holes and now my finger nails are starting to peel off while waiting for a SS 2nd gen version.

    2" lift, 285/70/17 BFG TA KO2's, baja bumper, bedrack with swing out, CVT RTT, Leather interior, heated seats, JBL, remote start, K&N intake, Hood Scoop LED lightbar mod.
    We actually just cut some SS 3rd gen brackets, but still no 2nd gen. We have had a few people experiencing some rubbing issues where the bracket comes through by the edge of the tailgate. It appears that some tailgates fit more tightly than others.

    ugg... after I just installed the two new powder coated ones I bought.....

    I also have the rubbing issue, but used some bicycle inner tube to cover the rubbing section...

    We have now removed the product from our website since we have had quite a few customers report back with a slight rubbing issue. It seems as though there is just not enough room in that space on most tacomas to fit a bracket through the opening.

    That is not correct. We tried a few options to remedy the rubbing and they did not fully rectify the issue. We have sine then removed the product from our website. We also never designed any brackets for the 2nd gen.

    I'm having the same issue. Tried installing today ordered the 13th of feb. And no mention on there at that time about this issue. No I have to go and get touch up paint to fix the damage.

    Really wish you guys could get this clearance issue squared away. How about metal being 0.5mm thinner? Maybe increase the tab length to provide some additional support to offset the thinner material. Was ready to order for a dual band VHF/UHF Ham Radio antenna.

    All trucks have differences in tolerances/panel clearance. Its nothing C4 did specifically or didn't check for.

    But knowing how many complained to them forced them to remove from their site. They aren't selling it anymore. They weren't for sale long.

    What? Thats the natural course of action when a product has issues is to pull from being sold. I dont understand what you mean by "checking" on their end? Should they have sent test mounts to hundreds or thousands of people? Thats obviously not realistic for a small fabrication company geared towards enthusiasts. I'm sure the ones they DID test on worked fine obviously.
