CB in truck

Why do people put CB's in the trucks with the invention of the cell phone now offering many options of talk and apps? Just curios.

 

On a trail run it makes group communication easy or in an area with low cell signal.

 

because when your like me and you have virgin mobile and you only have service once a week you need one

 

---we have off road meets with 20+ trucks trying to communicate on a single trail.....that'd be one hell of a conference call

---cell phone won't warn you of traffic or wrecks ahead of you without having to fool with or look at it.

---people like to call out where police are on the highway.

---some of the conversations you hear or get into are just plain entertaining.
