Hey TW need some advice. I have installed the coax run for the antenna and mounted the CB (Midland 1001LWX 40 Channel) now I need to get some power to the unit. I would prefer to run the line to the battery but need some help with what materials are needed ie What gauge wire should I run? and What type/amperage of In-line fuse should I use close to the battery?

Also if Add a fuse in the coin tray fuse panel is easier please let me know. Take me to school!!!

    Thanks

CB radios use very little power maybe 5 watts or so. 12 wire is plenty
Always connect the fuse close to the battery as possible inline fuse. Yes I would connect directly to the battery. I have ham radios in my car 50 watt no problem. Good luck. I use a thru the glass antenna made by Larsen it works great.
