I didnt really know where to post this so I figured try this sub-forum.

anyway on with the question, I am soon to install my cb and was wanting to make sure i ordered the correct stuff for the install and since i new there would be some ham radio and cb nuts on here figured this would be a great place to ask questions.

i figured i would start with this cable,
    http://www.amazon.com/RG-58-Coaxial...F8&qid=1356630000&sr=1-6&keywords=rg58u+cable
as I am going to cut one end of it off so that i can run it through the firewall and i will need about 15'.
then to put the new end on it to hook up to the cb i will use this
    http://www.amazon.com/RoadPro-PL259...629932&sr=1-14&keywords=pl259+crimp+connector
then clean stuff up with this
    http://www.amazon.com/Anytime-SHRIN...d=1356630041&sr=8-1&keywords=heat+shrink+tube
and to ensure the end is closed off(as per a step by step instruction i found) use these two things
    http://www.amazon.com/Kester-Pocket...=1356630079&sr=1-3&keywords=rosin+core+solder
    http://www.amazon.com/60-Watts-Soldering-Iron-listed/dp/B0006NGZK0/ref=pd_luc_bxgy_01_02_t_lh

so will this work? am i missing something? do i need more guidance?
