[IMG][IMG]na Installed a Uniden 510XL Pro today. Used a wilson (lil wil) antenna. I removed the satalite antenna and installed the cb antenna in its place through the roof. Works great after I set the SWR. Give me some feedback on the placement. Thanks

A lot of people forget SWR. So easy to adjust and a huge difference. Thanks bro.

    Two questions:

    1. How did you remove the garage opener door? Did you have to pull the console down?

    2. Do you have a picture or description of the hole in the roof for the sat antenna? Is it totally round, and what is the diameter?

Door just kinda pulls off by squeezing both sides. headliner along with console where pulled down.
toyota has two holes drilled in roof for satalite. one small which I plugged with silicon and one larger (which had to be enlarged a bit so that the antenna wire connector would fit through. I used a wilson lil wil which has a large magnetic base. this base covers the whole area.

Thanks! My only suggestion is that you might want to look into an NMO mount for that location and an antenna to match. NMO mounts are weather proof, and I'd be concerned about keeping rain out with just a magmount over the hole. (Or maybe you have it sealed up with silicone?)
