Oh no they snipped it off? Like the connector is gone?

In that case you'd need to crimp in a new connector or run new coax. New coax isn't that expensive so I'd just run new cable.
Order an SWR meter too! Your CB will work very poorly unless you tune it, it will even damage it. Do not attempt to transmit anything without tuning it first.

no, inside the engine bay is where the wire was snipped. i ordered a CB antenna that already comes with a coax and it is supposed to be tuned out of the box. It also has a magnetic base mount because i don't want to permanently Attach the antenna to anything and i can remove it if need too. i also do not want to run any wire. i wont really be using it unless im camping or off-roading will just run the wire through the rear sliding glass window whenever i need it and detach it and store it away for next time.

None are tuned out of the box since all the different configurations (radio type, power, aux length, ect.) play into the tuning of the system. Just install the cable and antenna and drive to a truck stop. Almost all of them have a CB shop and will tune them for a nominal fee. Sometimes even for free.

Oh gotcha. I have mine permanently mounted adjacent to the AM/FM antenna.

You should still use an SWR meter to tune the radio properly. It will get you optimal results.

Just go to channel 19, most of the truckers are on there. Most of the chatter is going on during backed up traffic :)
