So I've bought a CB, thought I understood the process with these trucks and I apparently dont. On my Jeep it was as easy as finding the back of the 12v connector, splice in with a wire tap and ground the CB well and you're done.

Well.... I've disassembled half my damn truck I'm not not seeing how to get to the back of these stupid 12v plugs. I see one guy talked about connecting to the power mirrors wire but for some reason with the tacoma community everyone is super cryptic about exactly WHAT WIRE in a loom to connect to.

Can someone help me here so I don't need to take a damn volt meter to every wire on this truck to find one that'll work.

To be perfectly honest its because a: I dont have enough wire and b: I can't drive at the moment as I'm recovering from a sternotomy. So I was really hoping to do it my usual way and tap into a wire within the cab.

I've had 4 jeeps in the past and 3 of them had wire tap setup CBs and 1 was straight to the battery, there was virtually no difference in audio quality so its just always been how I do it. I'm not against running to the battery but as I said I can't go get more wire and I live 20 minute drive from nearest part store(Country living in Canada lol)

I remember seeing a thread a while ago where someone used an Add-a-Fuse to power their CB. I personally have mine straight to the battery with an in-line kill switch, mainly because of the power options available to me, it was the easiest.
