    Not yet but I think this winter I might tackle and attempt to fabricate a bracket that will fit in there. I pulled it off and it looks like that space will work for that purpose. There is nothing behind there. I just have to get my tig hooked up and build a small brace to bolt too. I am looking at the President Johnny III to fill that space.

    I realize this thread is kinda old and recently revived, but here is my CB install.

    I'm still looking for a 90 degree connecter so I can close the lid with the mic plugged in and not squish it...but I haven't found anything.

    I've found the connectors you have to solder together yourself but I've been looking for a high quality cord that is already prewired up with a 90 on one end. Ive only found one company that sells em and on Amazon it's nothing but bad reviews.

    Maybe I'll contact that company you linked and see if they can make me a custom length cord with a 90 on one end.

    A forum member made me a 3D printed case for my President McKinley...no brackets, just slides in/out.

    Is that case still drilled into the side there? Or is it velco'd?

    I remember seeing that and really like it. I asked him and it has a lip that feeds up under the trim on the center console. Very clean and removable without drilling or defacing the original surface

    @Chief Taco is spot on!!

    I should be getting my truck back from the dealer today. If you'd like I can grab a photo of how/where it slides on.

    It's been "tested" off-road...hasn't budged. I pair it up with my wireless mic and I'm golden!

    Yes, that would be great. I'm personally good with here mine is mounted inside my center console, but I have a friend who may like this no drill option!

    I live in Houston and that radio would be in a pawn shop in one night... haven't had a radio installed in my truck in 6 years. I picked up an Icom 706 with a removable face and am going to give it another try.
