    Hey Everyone

just wish seeing how many of you have cb’s in your truck and do you use them when not on trails . Thinking about putting one in my truck but not sure how fancy of one I might need. I’ve noticed a lot of big rigs don’t even have them anymore. No need to spend a few hundred dollars of no one is there ;)

Here in Florida we use them on the trails still during meets, also on the road if we have a convoy going. You can get set up with one with a good tune for less than $150 for sure maybe even less depending on the radio. I just run a uniden xl. All in with antenna, mount, coax and other small stuff I am under $100

I've used mine on trails, but mostly when traveling. When there's a major backup, truckers tell each other how to get around the mess if possible. Saved me a few times, and the noise keeps me awake. I run a K40 magnet mount antenna on the roof for best reception, and keep it under my topper when not used. Have the base and wire coiled on back seat floor, for a cleaner look. Got a Uniden 520 pro and had it peaked, talks pretty good, also a better mike helps, they come with real cheap ones.
