    Temp for a CB really isn't an issue. Until you start to mod the radio that is. For the most part though, this location is fine. Several TW users have used it.

    I have an old Tristar cb, but it's to long for the center cuby, so it's velcroed to the passenger side of the console. I like having a cleaner look, plus out of sight somewhat. I plan on getting a Uniden Pro 520XL, have it peaked out at a cb shop, and mount it in the center cubby hole as others here have. Then get a firestick to replace my mag mount.

    I remember Bryan. My family and I are moving out there for better economy and ability to live a lot cheaper. Last 18 months have been rough with a lot of family issues and needs. Things are looking better but it has absorbed a lot of my "free" time. Glad to hear you are well!

    Before you get hammy, understand that Ham radio is not one you can just grab the mic and yell "Hey Johnny watch that ditch to the right" when you are 4 wheelin. You can do that with a CB. Ham requires a license thus has many many rules for use.
