Hey y'all, figured someone here could help me out.

First off, I don't have any pics right now, sorry. I'll get some up by the end of the day.

I'm trying to run a PA into my CB, then have it hooked to a PA, and something isn't working. I currently have it wired:

    • CB straight to the battery, has worked fine forever now
    • Aux into CB split into red and white into the amp
    • Amp with a positive terminal directly to the battery (will get a fuse today, but don't think that would prevent it from working?) and a ground to a... well... ground.
    • The PA hooked up to I believe the right speaker leads on the amp, could be left, but you get the point.

I attempt to use the PA function on my CB and nothing happens. I'm obviously missing something.

    Thanks for the help!

You say aux into cb? You need aux output or pa output. You are not sending a signal into the CB, you are sending a signal out of the cb. Anyway, what is the make and model of the CB? Do you have a picture of the back? Does it work without the amp? Just hook the pa straight to the cb pa output and it should work, just wouldn't be as loud.

    No fuses....

Worst idea ever. Everything with power should have a fuse.

Pretty set on using the amp, paid for it after all. By Aux into CB I mean just physically plugging a chord in. I was advised I need a 12 volt trigger by someone who has a setup very similar to me and works for an audio visual company. Maybe that's it? I need to look at a wiring diagram I suppose and figure which wire it is.

Everything I have wired currently does have a fuse, simply forgot to grab one. Have one now ready to go, gonna splice it on tomorrow.
