Thats where I will be seeking the expertise of tacoma world . Theres been a lot of threads about what would be best. I just need to sit down and dig them up when I get time. My main concern isn't so much the gas mileage part, but taking the extra stress off the motor.

How are you liking those Goodyears? I've been looking at the Duratrac's, but saw these at Wal-Mart today and searched for them on here. How many miles have you gotten out of them? Are they wearing well? How are they in rain & snow?

what size tire are running? that will determine 4.88 or 4.56
35s back to stock is 4.56, but Im gunna go with 4.88s when I regear and get 35s

I've got about 6000 on them. They do good in rain and mud. Never drove in the snow. My favorite A/T tire I've ever had. Prior to these I've had Bfg AT K/O and Bridgestone Dueler a/ts.

I will also probably go 4.88. I will be running 35s. I might get a wild hair after the 35s wear out and go a little bigger. All depends on whats available then (suspension wise).

Do they pick up gravel or rocks very badly? I've heard the BFG's AT do.

yeah they are a really meaty tire and grab rocks pretty bad. if you dont want rocks thrown on your truck, and drive on gravel a lot... you probably dont want these tires.

Not going to be lifting this truck now. Just going to use it as my daily driver. Original post has details!

Heres what I'm saving for instead. My dream truck!

ohhhhh dude, got chills when you posted 'ol red there. I'm on your page there buddy!!! I want I want!!! I had a '79 F250 Ranger XLT Lariat that I wish I never sold.

Taco is looking great too. I wish Indiana had the license plate with the buck on it. It would match my Sock whitetail decals.:)

Probably build my own. But if that guy is still selling when I have the money I will buy it. I have a 429 already to drop in it. Thanks, I still love my Tacoma... just have a love for old American trucks. My dad has a 79 with a 3" lift and 35s w/ a 429 in it. Runs like new even though its been through absolute hell.

Cool, I bet it'll look great once you get it all fixed up the way you want it. Good luck with it! Anything else besides an AAL you have planned for the Tacoma, minor stuff?

Cbcs, i'd just like to comment on your parking job. I'm on my 2nd rear window with my 08' SR5 and my 05' 550 Honda Foreman hahahahha. My foreman has aftermarket rims with a wider wheelbase. Going over the wheelwell humps got me once. Until i weld a bumper or guard i've got a small 8 ft trailer
