Oh yea... The stock suspension will be punished under all that weight... I have a feeling that when I have the front bumper on, I'll have to adjust my coilovers a bit, and when I get the rear bumper, maybe the D6XL AAL and/or longer shackles... Don't know for sure yet, but either would suffice...

Yeah, i'm looking at 883 with dakar AAL. Should do just fine.

Nice truck by the way! Like your suspension setup. What are you looking to do after the rear wrap around?

You might find that the 883 are a bit stiff your liking. If you can find a set of 882s then I would go with that.

Thanks... ICON/Dakar set up works wonders... After the rear bumper, I'm either going to invest in Line-X for the bed, 33" MTRs or full set of BudBuilt Skid Plates. I don't know yet, but I'm leaning towards Line-Xing the bed.

Yeah, I've been going back and forth between 882 and 883... People swear by both.

Ive thought about line-xing, it always looks really good though. I want to make my own sliders for my next project. Or an Aux box...

Kudos to you for making your own sliders. I would have done the same if I didn't get such a great deal on the Demello Off-road ones that I have. I'll probably put together an auxiliary fuse box when I do dual batteries. I'll probably need it anyway then.

I'll eventually add lights, but not yet. I'll probably find a way work with cable management when I start having cables run everwhere in the engine bay and cab.

Finished up more of the bumper today...

Cleaned up the outside, welded up the inside and welded on the recovery points and the light boxes... Base bumper is complete at this point...

All looks good, just that side hoop looks a little funky?

It'll look better once it's been worked with... It does look funny just sitting there...

Cool beans. We gotta wheel together sometime.

Once I get a rear bumper, skid plates, bigger tires and learn how to wheel the thing, then I'll let you know when I'm heading out for a weekend... One of these days though...

That or I bring the FJC... :p

You could make it up anything I've done at hollister, no prob. Good place to kind of get the feel for your truck. In a few weekends they are hosting Tepuifest, and apparently there will be formal clinics!

I've been to Hollister multiple time and bet the I could make it up most obstacles that are meant for a truck like time to get up, but I'm still the overly cautious person that I've grown up to be... I'll wheel with the FJC since it's built to go everywhere and I'll just continue to have my truck as a pavement princess until I've built it up to the point of where I think it's ready to be wheeled... I would love to go to Tepuifest, but I think I have plans the days that the event is on... Thanks for the offer though...

Cleaned up the bumper and tried using a paint stripping disc to clean the outside... Brian (thegame), thanks for the recommendation... It worked wonders when getting the bumper ready for painting...

Thanks... It's all coming together finally... I'm anxious to see it on my truck but I have to wait for paint to dry...

It looks great so far. I completely forgot how long paint takes to dry. I have to wait 24hrs per coat of paint. I'll be painting the inside of th bumper late today, then tomorrow and Wednesday I'll be layering the outside with paint. Bumper should be on the truck Thursday afternoon.

24 hours?! What paint are you using? I used Rustoleum Professional Primer and semi gloss black paint. That shit dries in about 15min.
