Looks good except you basically went back to stock rake on the front lol. If I may ask, why did you go with ICON shocks instead of OME Nitros with the Dakar Springs?

Yea... I now figure that I need to raise the front up maybe half an inch to a full inch. For going with the ICONs, it was really a decision that I made along time ago, really it was back when my dad build his 2013 Tacoma with ICON suspension. To keep a very long story short, Jason, who owns Demello Off-road recommend the suspension to my father when he was building his Tacoma, and when I drove at least half of a 900 mile round trip from Pleasanton, CA to Los Angeles, CA, I was very certain that the comfort was more than what I would get out of the Old Man Emu. Even though it was about $800 more, I have no regrets. I was able to drive my truck just to go fill up the tank today and it rode better than it ever has. As well as the off-road performance, from what I've heard, has been pretty much on par with everything else out on the market, if not better. (Don't know if that is true. I'll find out sooner or later though.)

Anyway, I love the ride that it gives and I hope for the best off-road. It may be pricy, but I'm sure that it will be completely worth it.

    Hope that answers your question.

I like the rake, personally. Looks good! 2 thumbs up.

Thanks. I'm still unsure about if I'll raise the front up. I might mess around with it today.

Finished putting back together the truck today. Seems like putting back on the spare tire has brought down the rear a bit. There still is an inch and a quarter difference between the front and rear but I like the way it looks now. Probably before I start to work with the suspension I should let it settle and break in.

Hey! If your looking to get those fender flares back to the color back try "wipe new" I had to put 2 coats on my flares but they look brand new again! let me know if you try it!

Thanks for the tip. I might try it out. My original idea was to spray paint them a semi-gloss black or maybe even bedliner. It does seem like a product that will get the job done.

Theres an awesome, essentially a tire shine product, that one of the detailers at my uncle's shop used on mine. They look sick and only uses a little bit and it doesnt damage the fender flare or require altering it. (Some pics attached, idk if youll be able to see the stuff but they arent usually that dark, they look more like yours usually) Ill see if I can get the name of it tomorrow. Put some on last week about mid week or so and its still on.

In the pictures, the tires have high grade tire shine on them, the fender flares have something else, I think its $12 a can but it doesnt take much to cover the fender flares really.

In this picture it looks like its level almost. Maybe it was the angle that shot earlier was. Looks great and nice explanation on the ICON. I didnt even know about the ICON until I saw it on a brand new one at my local Toyota dealership. Definitely has the looks for the extra money, be interested to see it in operation.

If you find the name to that stuff, I would gladly check it out. Again, my secondary play if no aftermarket product works is to just spray paint them.

It's all a matter of which angle you look at the truck from.

Thanks. The only reason I found out about ICON was that my dad installed it on his Tacoma. If it wasn't for that, I would be certain that I would have gone with Old Man Emu.

ICON definitely has looks and appeal for the extra cash, but if you've got it, I completely recommend it.

Glad to see that you and I are on the same page about how it'll be off road. I can't wait to take it somewhere like Hollister, or maybe even Slick Rock. I might even try the Rubicon Trial, just to Buck Island Lake though. My dad just had his FJC rebuilt so he really wants to see what the truck can do in a short Rubicon run to Buck Island Lake, a night or two there, and then back. That just might be when I take my truck off road, but I don't know yet. We'll just have to wait and see.

Next weekend? I don't think I have anything going on then, I'll have to think about it. I should know if I can go by either this weekend or mid next week.

If he gets his FJC back from the rebuild, I'm sure he would greatly consider going. As a word of warning though, it is SAC'D FJC, and it's called that for a reason...
