Things are tight in the engine bay, but the cruise control is relocated and solenoid is mounted.

I refuse to supercharger this truck. Whenever motor goes I'll probably just put some sort of LS or, if I can, a Cummins diesel motor in.

I plan on getting 500k out of this motor (currently 175k) but I'll probably get a supercharger and put in a manual tranny. The stock 3.4 is weak af

Disagree. The 3.4 is a very strong engine and it is shown by the 500k mile club. It just doesn't put out a lot of power. I would like to supercharge mine once it becomes not a DD anymore, but who knows if I'll ever actually do it.

Are you running a different alternator with the dual batteries?

I would give the supercharger more consideration if I wasn't such a rock crawler at heart. All I can think about is how slow I can make the truck :turtleride:

If I had dual batteries, no. I'd just trickle charger the batteries every so often.

The few beers I've had made me see dual batteries! Lol

I agree the 3.4 is a great engine. It's really hard to kill, but start adding weight and power does become an issue. Probably doesn't help that I drove a bone stock 04 Tacoma a few months ago and it felt quick.

Haha! I'll get around to dual batteries eventually. It'll probably happen around the same time I box the rear frame...whenever that is.

I somewhere down the middle with your thought. I love the technical aspects of rock crawling, but I also do like the idea of spending a few weeks on the road just sightseeing.

Maybe the desert will change my mind on speed. Been trying to get a trip to either Black Rock or Death Valley going, but other stuff usually comes up. Plus rock crawling season is about to end so I might as well blast through the desert while it's not super hot.

After far too much time wiring, and being completely OCD about wire management :anonymous: , the winch is finally in. In-cab controls work which makes me rather pleased.
