Sounds like you needed to aim up your lights

I know that projectors tend to have a very harsh cutoff compared to halogen bulbs in a reflector housing. Maybe the bleed from halogens would cause that. :notsure:

TRS tells you to aim them too low for my taste. I put them higher than they recommend, but not high enough to piss everyone off

You could make your own harness and save a few bucks.
The downside is bulb longevity. I don't drive a lot at night, so it's not a huge problem for me. I think it's a good compromise between better light output and cost. Just stock up on bulbs when you find them cheap.

Went and saw Rubicon on Ice yesterday. Forgot my camera so forgive the mediocre photos.

Who said you need armor to run the Rubicon.

So, I put the Rubicon idea out there as a gimmick. Never was serious about, but somehow everyone agreed to it. I was the only one who had experience running the trail and I knew the lines. So happy and very fortunate that this didn't turn into a shitshow over a gimmick. Every did great and there was very minimal carnage.

It was passable, but this group had a few drivers who weren't super experienced in rocks. It also took us 2 hours to get through gatekeeper. :anonymous: I think it took me 15 minutes, but I took the harder line out of Gatekeeper. Leonard and I went across but people come back said that Walker Hill was icy so I decided that we should head back.

Yep. Started the trail at 12:00 and the last guy out of Gatekeeper was around 14:00. I'm not complaining though. I'm just happy no one had any serious damage.

One guy tagged his door, but it looked like it just took the clear coat off. Other then that, armor did it's job wherever necessary.

Sam had a cv boot clamp slip. He said he probably just slipped off when he flexed out.
