Thanks! I took a bit of inspiration from MrGrimm.

Take your time on the rear bumper... I took two weekends to fully fabricate the front and it turned out amazing... I wouldn't try to rush it...

Ill definitely be taking the time on the rear. I've gathered as many pics of the assembled bumper (which isn't much) and im piecing together what goes where and how so when the welding happens there wont be any guess work.

I'm glad to see the preparation... I did the same when I was building the front.

I used about 4 or 5 can of Rustoleum Semi Gloss Black Protective Enamal for the bumper. I also used Rustoleum Professional Primer, FYI.

That's really smart... Kudos to you for thinking of that... I would have never though of that... Definitely going to use that for when I built mine...

Yeah! Im more of a fan of matte black but i think semi gloss is a happy medium for me. The only part that i dont understand about the rear is the tubes used for the side support. But when it gets tacked together im pretty sure ill better understand it.

I'm sure you'll be happy with whatever color you chose. I look at Eric's first gen Tacoma when I was up at Slick Rock in September. Those tube are there, from my understanding, to support the weight out there.

Yeah i also believe he said that they were for side impacts also so it does not fold in and hit the body.

Thats awesome you got to see his truck, i would have loved to seen it in person... To bad its gone forever :(

The only problem im having with them (which is probably minimal) is just making sure i get the angles right. Im still working on what pieces go in what order. Instructions he sent are good i just need to fiddle with it to fully understand it. Ill try and take some good pics for you for your bumper build. When do you plan on getting it?

Tubes are there for that reason as well as, I can imagine.

I'm going to miss Eric's first gen Tacoma. Certainly was a work of art.

For the angles, you might have to modify a few pieces here and there. I made a few modification on the front bumper, but nothing that anyone can see. Eric's instruction do say that and I would just make sure about placement. His team of welders aren't the ones building so I would get as close as possible and go from there. That's pretty much what I did. That'll be helpful; thanks! I'll probably order my rear bumper when I have the money. For an estimate date... I would like to say the end of December but it could be later. Just depends on when I get the money to spend on it.

Sounds good, I guess im just nervous because im not the one doing the welding.. Ill try and help out with the placement as much as possible, but then again all the welds on the front are getting ground off. I'm pretty sure it will still turn out pretty good though.

You should be fine. I wouldn't worry about anything else something catastrophic happens. Yes, grinding. It's 100% worth it. It's boring and tedious but so rewarding when everything looks super smooth and clean.

Hey, how does the view from the driver seat look Sith the three hoops? I've always wondered...

I'm 5' 6" and I can barely see the top of the passanger side hoop, and I can see a bit of the driver side hoop. I can't see the center hoop whatsoever.
