Gotcha. Must be different for different motors. This one guy in Highschool rebuild a motor on his willys and I guess breaking it in involved keeping it pegged at like 5k rpm or something for like minutes at a time lmao

    Thanks man!

My engine builder recommended change the oil pretty often for the first 2500 miles. I'm going to keep the RPMs under 3k for a while. After that, everything should be good to go for the long run.

    Thanks Jason!

Extra thicc! Thanks Matt. I'm excited to see how she performs as well.

I swear I didn't miss this reply. :anonymous: No, fortunately no rubbing on the rear shocks so far. Wheel backspacing is 3.5 inches

That's only when you have to break in a flat tappet camshaft.

Ah. Well that's likely what it was then.
Either way it was loud as shit just pegged with basically only a cherry bomb in the exhaust. Classic highschool shit

Dang just looked up the width, 66" right? Over 2" wider than an FJ80 rear? Makes sense why they fit so well. My buddy who's running the FZJ80 rear needed to french the shocks into the frame a little to go outboard, no idea what his BS was though.

I saw someone who had to do that as well on IG, but I think they used a 2nd gen Tacoma axle which is only an inch narrower than mine, but they probably have more backspacing than me.

YEP... That's the one thing I'll hate about it, but it's what I signed up for.

Yes. The 3 times a year it rains, there is mud.

I already had a small rock hit my door on the passenger side, so I don't doubt it.

Thanks Ferny! We're going snow wheeling once the truck is broken in and I fix the few problems I'm having!

Lol! Same here. It was so bad. Fun, but never again in the rain.
