I’ve considered moving my water and fuel to under the bed to lower the weight and move it further forward. Much less convenient in that location though

    Hmmm...bulk la coix on tap?
I'm going to Shasta June 2nd.
I might have to bring one and open it on the summit (assuming I make it that far) and see what happens.

Especially being in the desert. We've ran into strangers out here that were not prepared enough for the heat, so its nice having extra just in case you need to help.

Thought about the water under the bed idea as well. But yeah, not as convenient... and still not the best since its over/behind the axle. I have my slim upright tank mounted to the front wall of the bed.. so its centered and low-ish and it is nice and accessible.

I'd need to get the truck up to speed, but I did notice that I stopped hitting bump in the rear and big curbs.

I can definitely see where that comes in handy. I rarely am out for a week, mostly 2/3 maybe at most. I got one longer trip coming up in November, but that's it for the the year. The rest of my trips will likely be 1 to 3 day trips.

I feel like that could work well as long as you could have an easy way to fill up and have water on tap. @cynicalrider has a pretty neat setup that you might want to check out as well to get more ideas for.

I considered that option for awhile, but ultimately it came down to 2 things, 1 I'm lazy, and 2 I think no swingout is probably best for what I'm doing with my truck.

yah if its going to be a rock warrior it makes sense. I don't have enough money, time or space to build another one so my truck is franken, pre-lander, whatever I can do with it vehicle with split personalities

Alright. This is like version 3 of this already the 3rd go around of rewiring the truck, and if I'm lucky, this will be the last setup on the truck, or at least for a long time. I finally made my mind up on how I'm going to wire everything and where everything is going to be stored. I've got to give credit where credit it due. @Robmonster117 showed my what he was doing for his truck which is pretty damn similar to how I have things setup here. He can go more into detail on his thread once he post that, but props to him for being the brains behind this.

Here's the short of what's going on and what's going to live in this little box.

    - Dual Optima YellowTop 34/78 Batteries
    - ICT Billet Battery Trays
    - KeyLine Dual Battery Isolator
    - Switch Pros SP-9100 Unit
    - Blue Sea Fuse Panel/Terminal Block/Bus Bar/Circuit Breakers
    - Fastronix Remote Charging Post/Military Spec Battery Terminals
    - ARB CKMA 12 Air Compressor

I've still got a bunch of work to get to before I bolt this in the bed of the truck, but so far, I'm pretty happy with how this is turning out. For the wiring talk, this time I plan on wiring the winch and the truck separately and adding cut off switches for both of them. Outside of that, I'll start wiring accessories to it once I get this bolted down to the truck starting with the compressor and lockers. Lights and whatnot can come later.

Got a little bit more work done on the auxiliary electrical system. Put some cutouts in the electrical panel for the switch pros and fuse panel for ease of use when wiring. Also got my KeyLine Dual Battery Isolator Kit in and a handful of the wires taken care of. Still got some more wiring to get around to, but good progress today.

Fitment is absolutely mint. Way better than I could have ever done without that help of my Dad and his mill.

I've done a mod or two
That's a beast of an annular cutter, wish I had three phase power in my shop, I'd love to have a mill

Thanks man! Pretty stoked with the outcome thus far!

Yeah, I was pretty lucky that my dad has all the right tools. He doesn't have 3 phase power. He has a converter from 220v to 3 phase.

Do you have a write up on cruise control and horn function with part use for the aftermarket steering wheel?
