If all goes according to plan with the rear, then I should start painting maybe mid next week. Friday at the latest.

Ish... I just need materials to be able to build it. The general idea is a tire carrier and dual jerry can holder.

Got a whole lot done today. Bumper is pretty much all tacked together. Just a few things need to be tacked/welded on after the whole thing has been welded together.

Going to get some material tomorrow for the swing out and some more gas to make sure that I have enough. Should hopeful get the bumper at least full welded together, for the most part.

    Anyways... More tomorrow.

Tacking everything in place never really takes that long. Welding everything and grinding the welds smooth will take some time.

Nothing to be ashamed with how much time you take to build something. Rear bumper also seem to easier to build than the front. Also help that I have the right tools to make the job a bit quicker.

Did your front bumper come with install directions?

I ordered the DIY version so mine included how to build and make the whole thing. I would assume that your's should be straightforward. Literally is should say that it's recommended to have 2-3 people to install the bumper and to make sure all bolts are tight, then after a few hundred miles, recheck the bolt to make sure they're tight. If you're don't come with direction, the install should be rather straightforward. I can provide details if needed.

The part that holds the skid plate on, that U shaped metal peice that had 4 bolts in it, to take it out do you just have to hit it with a hammer to get it to budge loose or is there a bolt im forgetting....

Are you talking about the brace that holds on the stock bumper?

For sanding bumper to remove all rust....

Would you recommend a high grit flap disc? A paint stripping disc? Or a wire wheel? Or any other recommendations?
