Looks interesting. Might be worth it, but then again what do I know... Doing two Marina battery boxes and dual Optimas looks rather appealing to me though :D Might even see if I could get a large marina battery box so I could put both batteries in and then put the isolator and fuse block in there...

Another question for you @cbechtold , what did you do with the two wires that connect to the low fluid level sensor?

I pulled the pins out of the plug. Didn't want the light in the dash to be going off always since it would be a broken circuit. Might be a pain to pull the pins in the plug out, but it's better then just cutting the line.

    Awesome, thanks!

Idk how people are installing these AFTER gluing it together. I'm just going try to attach the two main pieces while they're positioned in the engine bay.

    No problemo...

If you've already glued yours together you probably will struggle a bit. I didn't glue mine fully together until I had the vertical piece where I wanted it. The horizontal piece would have prevented me from getting it up high enough into the engine bay.

You see here, the hose that connects to the bottom of the radiator was in the way which is the reason I say not to glue it together until you have the vertical piece in there first. Horizontal piece fits in fine and then gluing it together is a breeze.

Yup, that's exactly the issue I was trying to figure out.

Glad to know I'm not a complete idiot in my train of thought lol

Haha I was rushing like a mad man trying to get the vertical piece attached to the lower piece. Got it together though and works great.

Thanks again for the help!

    Nice! Going in the bumper?

Oh and remember that one L bracket I didnt know where it went on the front bumper? Those are used to mount the lights.

What are you doing for a switch setup? Are you going to be running a secondary fuse box?

Most likely going to buy a switch plate from Paranoid Fab and switches from OTRATTW. Speaking of second fuse block... I need to order one soon... Like today...

Thanks man! I think I am going to go for a custom DIY bumper, probably from Relentless. My cousin owns a metal fab shop in San Carlos (I see you are super close to me, I'm in Oakland) and he agreed to help me with the build.

Another question that I had, did you have any trouble with your 15" wheels? My current wheels (OEM) are 16" but I figured I could save a bunch of money buying new 15" wheels instead of 16" (not to mention R15 tires are cheaper than R16). I was about to pull the trigger on some from Desert Rat but then I started reading that people where having to grind their brake calipers in order to get 15" wheels to fit on trucks that came stock with 16". Did you have to do that or is it a non-issue?

Thanks again for the help, I can't wait to get my own build thread up and going!

    Noice!

The only issue with the 15" wheels are that they rub on the front brake caliper if you don't use a 1/4" spacer. 1/4" spacer make you able to run the 15s in the front, but you'll also have to get longer wheel studs since the OEM ones are just slightly to short. I forget what length mine are, but they're like 5mm longer then OEM. You can get all of that either from Wheeler's Offroad, Rock Auto, Summit Racing, etc... They're everywhere lol Other then that, you don't have to worry about the rear with the 15s. Clear the front brake calipers and you're done.

I'm glad I could be of help and I'll be looking out for the build thread.

Ok cool. It's good to hear it is that simple.

Did you install UCA's on your truck? If not, do you have any alignment issues at all? I'm trying to decide whether to spring for a set of the Total Chaos right away or just see if I have any issues after the lift and new wheels/tires are installed.

I wish I installed UCAs... Then again, I wish I had more money to poor into the truck :pout: They'll happen one day though... I'd probably do IVD since I'm already running they're coilovers and rear shocks.

There are some alignment issues, but I've lazy about the alignment since the get go since I have no idea what I need to aim for. (Help figuring out what I need to aim for with camber, toe and caster... would GREAT...) Alignment issues aren't so bad that I can't drive it so I've been running it as it.
