I've tried swipe typing... Never really got into it tbh I like a physical keyboard over both the touch keyboards and swipe to type. Then again that is just preference.

I love a physical keyboard too. I still think that my favorite phone in terms of typing that I've ever had is the BlackBerry Curve. If they had a good software backing, I would jump back to the physical keyboard BB in a heartbeat.

I had a Samsung Propel for a few years so I feel yea there. I definitely would be going to a Nokia or BlackBerry is software was decent. I think my next phone is going to be Windows Phone since iPhone does do it for me anymore.

I stepped away from iPhones too. I love the external memory in my Note. It makes it really easy to watch my gopro footage in full resolution on my phone. I've been wanting to get my hands on the new Note 5 or maybe the HTC One M9, although I haven't heard much about that phone yet.

I'm looking at the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL, only real downside is that it's a bit pricy but seems to really worth it. Note 5 look interesting, but Lumia look pretty  tbh

I've never heard of the Lunia... I absolutely love my Note 2, and it still works mostly fast enough for me. It's getting pretty old now though :( Since I love the Note 2, the 5 must be even better!

lol Yea... I know a friend who had the first iPhone and then just recently upgraded to the 6S Plus  He was blown away by how far the iPhone has advanced. Should be a significant difference if you upgrade from the Note 2 to the Note 5.

I can't decide between getting whatever IPhone comes out this Fall or the OnePlus 2 Android phone. Currently have a Galaxy S5.

True, but from what I have noticed my samsung isn't aging near as fast as iPhones do. The Andriod software updates don't make my phone run noticeably slower than when it was new. When I was using iPhones, as they got two generations old, they started to run sluggish or apps weren't available anymore. I haven't experienced any of that with my Samsung from 2012.

I'm just not a fan of locking the OS on the specific iPhone to say iOS 7.4.9 and then the next iPhone being allowed to go up to the latest iOS.

That bothers me too, but in a way it must protect the users a little. You don't want to be running firmware for an iPhone 6 on an iPhone 4. The processor in the older phone just isn't designed to have that work load. If you can get it to run smoothly, your power consumption is going to be through the roof.

I just used those two phones as an example. I have been away from iPhones for too long to know what phones can update to what

The other thing is that I believe that iOS is far more possessive intensive then Android or Windows. I look at it like Windows for PC, if it can run on a top of the line, brand new computer, then it should be able to run on a 10 year old piece of junk.

Yeah, makes sense. I was happy when I learned that Mac OSX El Captain is compatible with Macs made all the way back to mid-2007. Apple actually worked on speed enhancements rather than new, generally useless features for once

That's probably the only think that I like about Mac, but then I remember that I can't run Skyrim, Fallout 4, Battlefield 4 at 1440p at 100+ FPS on ULTRA graphic :p:D

Ehhhh pish posh. I've been a mac user forever. I can barley operate a PC....I'll stick to overpriced consoles for gaming. Or get a loaded Mac Pro and run Windows OS on it if I really wanted to get a "gaming" computer. I just can't see myself owning a PC

I grew up on Windows so Mac is okay for me, but Windows are just so familiar for me. I'll stick to the overpriced X1 and PS4 for gaming as well lol PC is too expensive for my blood, especially for what I would want out of a computer. My computer that I use for college is good enough. :D
