Yeah sliders is the big thing I'm missing right now. Would make wheeling a lot less stressful haha!

Yea definitely should get on that. My sliders definitely got a bit of a work out this weekend with all the dragging and hard landings they got. My only recommendation is to get a set of weld on kickout sliders. Welding the sliders on will make them stronger and kickouts will help keep rocks or trees away from your doors in tight situations.

    Stuff. Also things.
Is @3378jakesr5 doing your sliders, Phil? If he is, you'll love them. I'm super happy with mine.

    And sweet photos, Cory!

I had the same thought. I think the only difference (visually) is I have bigger tires.

@otis24 did great. He was able to get through everything pretty easily and if not a bit of spotting from my dad made it even easier.

Still waiting on that lottery win :pout:

It's definitely a very unique FJ. No crawlbox made it very interesting.

The Defender walked up everything, but it was also driven by a Pro Driver. Also prior knowledge of the Rubicon definitely helps.

It's a lot harder for me to run the Rubicon. My truck is my daily and if I break something, I'm pretty screwed. It would be fun to run the the trail during the Summer but still, if I break something it could be thousands of dollars in repairs. One day though ;)

I still think that before I do run the Rubicon that I would want to get f/r air lockers/regear, build a gas tank skid, and get a crawler box or a 4 speed Atlas. Maybe get the truck on 35s, but that entirely up to whether the truck still my daily.

For a taco to run the rubicon I'd say:
    33's minimum, preferably 35's
    At least a rear locker
Full skids (Gas tank isn't needed but LCA is, or aftermarket LCA's)
    Front/rear bumpers
    Winch
Dual cases/4 speed isn't needed at all. I never felt the need for it. Only bypass we took was at soupbowl
