I'm trying to figure out what do for a bump setup, and I see everyone gimping their up travel in the rear to "prevent the leafs from going negative"

buuut I don't really wanna do that #becausecrawler

Ha! I'd be buying a set of Fox Air Bumps if I could afford them. At full bump, my leafs are negative. My down travel is super gimped thanks my 8" rear shocks. :^)

My suspension is temporary at this point. I'm just going to keep babying it until I feel like it's time to cut it all off.

Air bumps would be sweet! But i'd rather put that money toward some nice shocks so I get it.

You gonna link it? or do a shock relocate or something?

The front will get linked, the rear will just get some nice 14" fox smoothies and Chevy 63s.

They'll be mounted outboard of the frame. Stability > Flex

    Truth.

You gonna run spacers to keep the tires off the shocks under articulation?

Nope. Rear axle will be 69" wide so there'll be plenty of clearance.

Well hot damn. That'll do the trick too.
What axle you planning on running?

Nice. I wanna see the final product.

I'm sticking with Toyota product (LC ball front and T4R FF rear)

I would have stuck with all Toyota if I could, but that's just a lot more money than I really willing to spend. Building a set of Ford Super Duty axles is dirt cheap.

Very true. Ask me how I know. Lol

KP60 and 14b would have run me 1/2 the price of my current axles.

Long debate about atlas and 60s or tacobox with Toyota. End up with Toyota setup.

The only crappy part of the SD60 is that you have to go links instead of leafs because the diff is so far offset to the driver side but other than that, they are kickass. Just make sure you get an 05+ one

If you’re gonna do it, don’t waste your time with leafs anyway.

I priced out a full Toyota setup with 9.5" LC diffs, 35 spline shafts, etc... Just too pricy even tho I love the look of fabricated axles.

Technically speaking, I'd count that as a positive. The front was always going to be linked on my truck. It's also hard to beat $3000 for a fully built axle that is crazy strong.

Wouldn't have it any other way

Might not be ton, but i can't stop looking at them. I call these "Toyota's 1ton"

Both are Diamond axles. RCVs, Hell Fire knuckle and FF rear with Diamond drive flange. Both are mated with LC 9.5 centered, 5.29 and TJM prolocker in both. 69wms, monster beadlock with 4dz.

    :spending:
