Damn, I was going to order a rear bumper from them. Guess not anymore. Wish I could get Jason to make me one more of their 1st gen hybrids. :(

I’m sorry but I’d a lead time is quoted it needs to be upheld. This is one of the main problems with society...going back on your word. It is indefensible to not uphold deliver times short of a natural disaster. I have experience with non communicating no time frame subcontractors, I waste neither time or effort on them.

Bare minimum, reach out to the customer and keep them in the loop if it can't be done in that time

I am probably not the only one, but I am still waiting on sliders from black friday.

I ordered uncoated sliders and was told Jan 21 which is right at 8 weeks. I do not need them by any specific date, but good to know.

I have checked with the vendor a couple times once they became late and CBI can not even give me a corrected date, so I am done checking on them. Tomorrow will mark 15 weeks.

If they quoted 15+ weeks when I ordered, I still make the order. If they call or email when a machine breaks or they have a delay, all cool, take your time.

Their website still quotes much lower lead times and that’s the only reason I am putting my story here, they are not currently truthful. Many other vendors here are honest about the massive delays caused by few employees or massive sales (black friday etc.) but not CBI.

The sad part is I was planning on an aluminum T3 front and high clearance rear bumper to be ordered this week. I bought their sliders for matching armor, now I am not sure what to do. With the current struggles, it seems like that might not be such a good idea.

CBI Website lead times as of 3/7/2019

Do those side braces tie into the frame at all? Or are they just kinda there.

I am really sorry to hear that. For me the 8weeks just kept stretching, and stretching, until 17 weeks down the road they finally shipped. I hope they come in, and from this myself as well as others have gone elsewhere for our off-road needs. They are losing a ton of business, and just don't seem too motivated to fix this issue.

Since then I have been test running other companies for smaller purchases, and I can tell you that RCI has been INCREDIBLE with keeping up with the customer, quality, and communication. Check them out... It's where I am headed!

Hmmm. I just came across this thread, right when I've decided to limit my booze intake. Sh*t, might as well switch to decaf!
I'm waiting ~8 weeks for my bumper, with estimated ship date 4/8. I skimmed though this thread, and it makes me a bit nervous. Nothing I can do for now but wait, and hope...

I wouldn't worry just yet, some people have had great experiences with them, some not. Just remember that to get a hold of them you really have to call. Talk to Kenny if you can, e-mails seem to go into some black hole over there

Pure craziness pushing out lead times like that. Knowing up front you have a 3-6 month wait is one thing. Being told 6 weeks and pushing out to 3-6 months is just horrible customer service and irresponsible. Unfortunately I was raised the old way..”do what you say you’ll do, your word is your honor”.

Not my bumper but I had one for a while and can chime in. They do bolt into the frame.

Thanks, I hadn’t seen one like that before. Usually that ties into the mounting plate.

I had a much better experience with CBI than RCI. Both bumper purchases. That's just my experience.

Aluminum bumper sounds likes its gonna be well beyond 12 weeks per my recent chat with CBI, so just a heads up.

14 weeks and 2 days on a set of sliders that had a 6-8 week lead time when ordered. Same story as everyone else... no updates from them and conflicting stories when I called to see what the deal was depending on who answered the phone.

I won’t go into great detail about the trouble I had with them after a lift kit/UCA install that ended up missing parts and failing at 70mph 200mi from home a couple years ago. They do make a good product but that’s where my compliments end with them. Fool me twice...

This is my biggest gripe. There are two people answering the phone. Two of them say different things every single time. It ended up putting me in a pretty crappy situation with meeting deadlines. I think I wouldn't be a frustrated if they were more up front with the fact that they are way behind on production.

Received my CBI LCA skids. Apparently they don’t fit on TRD pro skid plates. Called CBI and they said they were unaware that this was an issue. We’ll see what happens.

I think the hint should have been that you also need to buy CBI skids now.
