I don't care that he's selling it. It's the idea that he signed up for something that he would have known he wouldn't use had he done his research.

That's completely different than being in a raffle where you could win sliders, a bumper, or a tow strap.

I sign up for those free car giveaways sometimes. If I win, I fully intend to sell it the next day. I don't see the wrong in it. I won, so I'm cashing out.

Probably, but it seemed like the right thing to do. The OP has all the right in the world to sell the gift card. But I dont think he should have announced it on the site where he found out about it. Its just sad there were so many other people who would have loved use the gift card and felt honered to recieve it. I hope this doesnt stop them from doing future give aways.

Op, I personally see no issue with what you are doing. Shit who knows how you plan to spend the money you get from this, but it might be for something a lot more important than product for your truck.

I've won plenty in the past and have sold it for money to put it towards things more important, I guess per some folks on here I'm a horrible person for doing this ?????

I think people need to pull their head out of their rear and be honest with themselves and stop being butt hurt because they didn't win.

If I find $600 of CBI product I want I'll let you know. Should I find stuff I want and buy the credit off of you I'll thank you for saving me $200.

I'm not upset about this because I didn't win. I just would have rather seen somebody that would have actually used it for what it was intended for win.

Life doesn't work this way man. Do you know how many people win the lottery who were already well off? You can't let things like this bug you because if you do you will soon realize that life just makes no sense at all and is completely unfair, which is not a healthy attitude.

Age brought me to this realization

This and just watching the A holes around me do nothing but screw up continuously yet walk away smelling like roses.

Great... you're choice. Makes you a nice guy. What OP is doing doesn't make him a bad guy... and CBI's stuff will still end up somewhere and they'll get some advertising out of it. Hell... look how much extra word of mouth they're getting right now!!!!

I wonder why you're called a DB????? [IMG]

You don't know this guys situation. This might have been a major thing in his life. Hard times, then he wins something he can sell and turn things around.

Maybe he wanted a new bumper, that GC wouldn't cover the whole cost. Now the money he though he could use to do it is gone, and he would have to just sit on it for a year or two.

Karma will take care of people. As long as he isn't violating a term of the giveaway, which I doubt he is, than he is free to do it as he wishes.

What does it matter to you or me?

Nothing! Except for the haters that are going off on the guy, then bad karma may come your way.

If I had the money to make him a good offer for it, I would. win-win situation.

Im not sure whats worse, the fact that yall are on here picking dude apart for his decision making or the fact that i wasted my time reading yalls opinions. When it comes down to it who gives a shit what he does with it. Think about how many raffles youve entered, did you win? If no, do you know who won and what they did with it? I doubt it. Do you sit and think about what the winner did with the prize? I hope not because theres way more in life than petty shit like this.

I followed the SCS contest.. Seems like there's an awful lot of butthurt on here lately.

    Who cares.

    Seriously.

Just like guys getting knee deep in pissing matches over lightbars/suspension/tires/whatever.

    It's a truck.

    It's this dude's gift card.

Don't try expressing your jealousy by dictating what he should do. He won it.

It's OPs business if he wants to sell it for crack/midget hookers/whatever..

    Banter is just that.

    Banter.
