Any local companies to recommend? The only nice thing about just doing it through them is the day you get it is the day it can go on

 

Mekala Powdercoat in Campbell Indutrial. Ive been using them for over 10 years. It wouldnt be good if you got your bumper with the powdercoat scratched from shipping either. Youll spend a little more powder coating it locally rather then paying for it from them and then having to redo it when you receive it. Ive had it happen before so just an FYI. You can still go ahead and order it PC already if you want.

 

Just realized bumpers are a 6-12 week wait time

 

I know shipping to the islands will take longer, but I was actually looking forward to a 6-12 lead time for my dual swing out, and it showed up in 3 weeks. So keep your chin up

 

Skids are 4-8 and he said they’ll most likely be out sooner

 

Well I hope so, because if we doing this Dec 1st then I may not be getting my shit installed until Mar-Apr. Which would make me sad...

 

I’m fine with that as long as the bumpers arrive...

 

2 overtime shifts in only 5 more to go for the bumpers

slowly approaching zzzzzz got quoted 2800 for front/rear bumpers from IMM so hopefully its cheaper!

How do you like the dual swing out? Any photos? Any weaknesses or strengths? Debating on a dual after the other screwup we will not name.

 

I love it! Ive hit all the armor and its withstood some hard hits. The bearings seem to be wearing a bit on my tire side swing out, and I suspect I will have to replace them eventually. I have put the whole truck through a lot of abuse this year so Im not too surprised. But all in all its been a great purchase. One of my favorite additions. I have some painting to do. I live right by the beach so shit rusts here fast. I spray my spindles down after every wash to make sure there is no water in there. You will want to do the same. I would suggest packing them full of grease as best you can. It would be nice if it had zerks. Theres more picks on my build page but here is a few.

 

Just wanted to update. I spoke with CBI today and IMM today. Per CBI: “we don’t anticipate doing any Black Friday deals and if we do it’s vdry likely that bumpers will not be included.” They also mentioned that they have worked with IMM and mentioned that shipping through IMM is cheaper. With that said I called over to IMM and they said that if we get an order big enough they could offer a discount. I was quoted 2800 for a aluminum front and hc rear bumper shipped to Honolulu if I went on my own. I will probably just order through IMM if anyone wants to jump in?

 

Damn thats crazy for shipping. When I almost bought bumpers from relentless they were gonna charge me around $800 for shipping to the address that I gave them. I’ll try see if I can find the quote they gave me and DM you.

The $2,800 cost probably includes the cost of the two bumpers (aluminum front and hc rear) and shipping...not just shipping.

@Chex808 what is the break down of that $2,800 quote (itemized)? and does it also include the shipping from IMM to Oahu?

 

They didnt itemize it for me but 2800 is the cost of the aluminum low hoop non coated, hc rear no swing out non coated, and shipping. They ship straight from mainland to Oahu.
