I've got CBI sliders on both my 04 and 16 trucks, love them but you can still expect door dings.

No sliders stop a rear door with a wheel arch.

Damn thats the whole reason that I wanted to put rock sliders on my truck in the first place :-( to protect the doors from shopping carts and people opening their doors too wide in the parking lots next to my truck.

Edit: also to be able to use them as steps to get into the truck easier.

They might reduce the chance for door dings but nothing is fool proof, everyday it seems somebody's parents made a more cagey fool to get through your defenses.

I have mine specifically to get up higher to the roofrack, they are great for that.
