I own a 2018 tacoma. The CD player won't eject my discs. I believe it is because there is dust in the player, as the cds are being scratched up. Is there any way to clean the dust out of the player?

Back in the 90s we used to go to Sam Goody and buy a cleaner disc that had tiny brushes on it.

They also sold a disc polisher machine to buff out scratches.

I have no idea where you buy those things now.

Pull the music off of the CD's and put them all on a thumb drive. Leave the drive in the USB port and you'll never have to mess with a CD ever again.

Ha! I still have mine :anonymous:

It’s probably 25 years old though.

Even the cleaner spray although it’s just rubbing alcohol I put in it now.

Go get a few cans of compressed air (the stuff for electronics) and try that first... blast it out really good... but if there's so much dust that it's affecting it mechanically, you might just need to take it out, take it apart, and thoroughly (and carefully) get all the dirt out.

I bought my truck in 2015, put a CD in to test it, and that same CD has been in the player ever since. Every now and then when the truck resets (like when I disconnect the battery), the next time I get in, that album starts blasting and it takes me a minute to remember why
