Cd's and radio get hot after 1/2 hour!

Does anyone else's radio and CD's get hot after about a half hour of play. i usually use my ipod jack, but played a cd the other day, the damn thing nearly burned my hand when i took it out...afraid of meltdown in my radio and me!

 

I heard playing the radio while your CB is on might burn you stereo.. I dont know though

i know, i know, its outdated, but my tacoma cd player will read old cd's my computer couldnt...i got cd's you cant get on itunes and other places...but not for long if my deck melts them..

 

Yea i thought the same thing about my cd player. I cant believe how hot that stereo gets with in mins. I think i am going to switch mine out just for that reason

 

If your heater is on it can get the console hot. I havent noticed it with my taco, but my last car would do the same thing when I had my heat on.

 

Yes but mine will do it even when the AC is on
