Last year my little nephew spilled coke all over my stereo system. Cleaned it the best I could. Radio still works and the cd player did until recently. Will not play or eject and what is bad I have 2 cds stuck in player. Any suggestions on how I might remove them myself?

Welcome to TW! press and hold the eject button. That forces it to eject the disk.

It's pretty easy to take the unit out as well to get them out. Mine jammed after going over some washboards at 50mph. Took out the unit, pushed the offending CD back into place and Voila! Worked again.

I have tried holding the eject button down, but it just says "all eject" and doesn't do anything.

Happened to me with a homemade CD. Fortunately I was within warranty [26k] and they replaced the whole thing for free. They'll even send you the CD(s) back if they're not toast.

My brothers truck doesn't have warranty any more so he either needs to take it apart or buy a new one

    neglect, mostly.
pull the fuse and then put it back and try to eject. . . . if it will cycle to the front and try to come out, have someone there with a thin pair of needle nose pliers. that's what ive always done in other trucks. never had the problem with my tacoma, but that's what i cant tell you.

This thread has some great pics on how to get your head unit out of the dash. I had to do the same thing because my son put spare change in the drive and it constantly tried to eject CD's that I didn't have in it. Once you get the head unit out, all you need is some jewelers screwdrivers to take the drive apart.

Total fix time is about an hour. Hope this helps!
