Summer of '96, I purchased a used 1991 Toyota Pickup 4x4 Single Cab 4cyl. that I still kick myself to this day for ever getting rid of it! Previously owned Tacoma's '00, '02, '04 & '06 with the latter being a DC TRD OR. In looking back on this list, I can only surmise that my reason for continuing to trade them in for new ones, is cause I was young and dumb.

Fast-forward to Feb. ’18, I decided that worrying about debt was pointless and I felt that a car payment was necessary to top off my new sunny disposition towards debt. I financed a 2018 Super White DCSB TRD OR A/T. I don't know how far down the mod rabbit hole I'm going to go but, let's just say that when my better half sees me on TW...well...ya.

Damn that's pretty. You flexed it out yet to see what kind of trimming you'll have to do? I've been trying to keep myself from doing this and you're not helping haha

I haven’t but, I knew that I needed to take care of the CMC going into it. I’m looking at going with fiberglass but haven’t made up my mind yet.

It was fine but, I drove it like a nancy - being as this is my only vehicle, I wasnt about to do anything stupid.
Plus knowing what I was doing in the immediate future, I wasn't going to do anything to screw it up. Definitely replace the UCA, if that is the route you are going to go.

    Good to know.

I don’t plan on buying new tires anytime soon unless I shred one. Just don’t want to buy 265/75/16’s and then lift the truck and want even bigger tires again haha

Figure out where you want to be in the end, and that will drive the rest of your decisions leading up to it. It’ll get real expensive and frustrating if you don’t.

TC does state that on their site that you need glass but, I don’t know for sure. I’m waiting for the rear to be done so I can the truck out and mob around to see if I’m going to push the suspension hard enough that I would NEED glass. Which is a huge different between WANTing glass. I do like Advanced Fiberglass’ 4/2 fronts but, I’m still on the fence.

I see you went with the 600# u402s for the rear. Are you planning an RTT or anything like that for the rear? I ordered the 300# u402s and now I'm wondering if I've made a mistake.

I haven’t finished the rear yet but, I think we’re going with the 300lb Deavers. I’m not putting on any RTT or anything like that...and I’m planning on tube bumpers instead of any of the overland bumpers, simply due to the weight.
