    Check engine light came on and traction control light, hooked up my scan tool and it said p1613 undefined...do any of you guys know what this could be?

    After reading the list of possible causes for the P Code , the only one that would apply to the 4 cylinder Taco is the ECM is going to fail. OR it may not, it could just be a glitch in the system. I would remove the code from the ECM and then remove the battery cable and let the ECM reset. If the code returns, then you know what is causing the problem. Good Luck.

    I had a spare key made at the local hardware store, and my dad used it sunday..300 miles later the chrck engine light is on? Thats the only thibg i can figure judging from that post above. I reset it last night

    Well its back on again. I used my toyota spare with a chip in it for the last 3-400 miles and it came back on. Im startin to think its not the key. Would warranty cover any if this?

    Went to the dealer today and typed the code in their computer ..something about the secondary air injection

    why in gods name would you think WD40 on the key would fix anything?

    Lol I just spit my drink out laughing when I read that. and honsetly i have no idea i just wanted it to read my key lol
