    Well my parents had to borrow my truck today, to help my step-sister move into her new apartment.



    Well he said on the way home it started running rough, and the check engine light came on but went off.. so I had to go take the trailer home, which blew 3 fuses for my taillights. :mad: but when I got in the CEL was back on, so we got his OBD II trouble code reader, and we got these 2 codes.

    P0174(that's for Fuel Injection) and P2197. Does anybody know what the second one means? I couldn't find it.. Thanks!

    the P2197 code is a generic fault code. Check your vacuum lines, and intake. Make sure all is connected well.

    I havent heard of this code for the A/F sesor. Are you sure about this?

    Ah. Cool. "Stuck lean" could still mean air is comming in thru a vacuum line, or the intake. I would start there.

    It could be. Most times I have had an engine run rough, was due to a vacuum line being disconnected, craked, etc.

    I've been trying to figure it out, I can't see anything that looks wrong with the hoses... but I'm not 100% sure what I'm looking for either, i had to go back out today to get some stuff.. and when I was sitting at idle it started running really rough again... so rough i had to turn the car off and back on. So i'm trying to figure out where I need to look to get this checked out, or if i just need to take it in to the dealer, or a garage somewhere.

    So it's a sensor that went bad?

    Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
    Not necessarily. A lean condition means more air is present than should be in relation to the gas content of the mixture. It could be, as stated earlier, a vacuum line is disconnected/cracked/bad somewhere. However, the code is side specific, Bank 2. That should be the drivers side. You can test the sensor with an OHM meter to verify it's faulty. That should rule it out quick, or point the problem to some where else.

    Alright thanks Ben! I'm probably going to wait til my step-dad gets home now. But hopefully it's just a line is bad not a sensor.

    If it is the sensor, replace it with the OEM Denso.
