Hi everyone, looking for some advice and asking if anyone with the cement color has experienced severe chipping. I am a cautious driver, have never ran into anything or taken my tacoma offroading at all. I have a 2018 trd sport in cement. It seems like everytime I get in my car I notice a new chipped part of the paint. is anyone else having these issues? Is there something that I can do or have the dealer do for free? I purchased in Nov with a used certification. Just really disappointed in the chipping, I know the paint is microns thick and especially thin nowadays but blown away by how easily it is occurring. Its my daily driver and I only drive on pavement roads.

I purchased the chip filling pens, they do a great job but new chips appear left and right and my car isnt old or abused at all. I wasnt picky with color buying it, wish I was and went for dark grey or black at this stage cuz they are so noticable.

The thin paint is definitely the Achilles' heel on these trucks. OEM running boards & mudflaps do a decent job of protecting mine from road debris.

Thanks! Yah I completely agree. Fortunately mine have both, still getting lots of chips. I know toyota recalled various models in white but I really do hope they recall 3rd gens for the paint problems. Ive seen second gens with great paint still. Know of any forum to complain and apply pressure?

I had a Cement Tundra. It was normal.
Paint is no worse or better on a Tacoma than any other midsize Truck. It is not thinner or thicker. It is not a different type.
Simply put, your paint is chipping because little rocks or salt or something is coming in contact with the paint at high speed. Sorry.
