Ok. I wrapped mine because of the same problem, fading on the hood and roof, but at the time i didn't think of wrapping it in my favorite 2 tacoma colors, Cement gray or Cavalry blue. I just wasn't sure how it would look.

Wrapped the whole truck. Just make sure you sand off the pealing clear coat if you wrap anything.

@commandotaco has arguably the best aftermarket paint I’ve seen.

I’m debating painting my lunar mist 4wd something other than stock. Prehaps a darker gun metal tone

hey man looks good, sorta has that matte finish which is cool.

Yea I figure for the wrap to look best it'd need to be super flat without any leading edges.

Thanks. It's the 3M Dark Gray Matte color. Says it should last 5-7 years outdoor. Not bad for $350 and a weekend of work.

For the love of god don't add chrome. I agree there needs to be some contrast, though.

black fender flairs and I think a more matte finish (like the wraps above) would look better. The high gloss just looks like wet putty.

    Here’s my hood and roof

The clear coat is peeling so far back on the roof lol

I take it you did the wrap yourself, did you order sheets and do the trim yourself? Or can you order them pre trimmed to the panels?

$350 not bad at all, beats a $3,000+ paint job or having someone else do the wrap

Yea, I did the work myself. Ordered one big roll and did one panel at a time. Removed mirrors, door handles, bed liner and fender flares for easier install.

That actually looks kick ass man. I've always like red or maroon and gray together, like came on a couple 80 series Cruisers. But looks good for what it is. Nice work

Love it. I remember driving those when they were almost new. That's before the "detuned" engines of 1971.

Yep; it would definitely be better with the original black fender flares.
