    Hello,

I called my local paint distributor and he looked up the formulation for Toyota 1H5, Cement gray. The formula lists "fine aluminum" and "satin aluminum" which indicates it's a metallic paint. It is a very fine metallic of 2 different sizes which gives off a slight pearl type effect which is apparent when viewed up close.

This makes sense. I thought it looked like small metallic flakes and sometimes pearl at the same time somehow... but wasn't convinced it was pearl.

The Cement gray does use 2 different sizes of metallic (ground aluminum) which might explain the slight pearl effect. The rep explained "satin aluminum" is ultra fine ground aluminum, he stated it was very very fine.
