Cement PROs haulted production until nov/dec (details in post).

So I spoke with my dealer today and he shared his new Toyota production document with me today. Like I saw it with my own eyes. As of now, the only PROs being made are Barcelona red and white ones. The cements that have been received were ones that were ordered months back. From here on, the Cements colors only are on a 2 month on, 2 month off build schedule. As of now, production of that color is shut down and won't gear back up until November, and it will run through December, then take another 2 month hiatus.

The dealer told me he's never heard of this kind of thing before and he has no idea why they're doing this because there are no haults on the other colors, they're running continually. So...if I still want my cement, I have to wait until NOV 1 until the thing is even built.

Super bummed.

bummer... I was originally going that route but decided to go Magnetic Gray. Cement is a cool color for sure.

 

Does your dealer have any other colors he's trying to sell?

 

There's no tactic. I actually read the Toyota letter. He doesn't even want me to switch colors or trucks, just playing the waiting game. For the month of September, there will be 16,544 trucks and suv's built. (Per the document).

 

Nope, he has a cement auto pro coming in, but it's down-paymented and ready to go home with its owner.

That's understandable considering that color is only offered on that trim while the other colors aren't.

That may have been what they told you, but either things changed or they were just uninformed because none will be produced in September. Unfortunately.

 

I saw the build date on the allocation order.

 

I hope you get your truck then. That would be awesome.

I just got off the phone with a dealership here in MD and they have 2 Cement color Pro's right now on the showroom floor. I'm currently trying to work a deal seeing how I can't seem to get the Quicksand I ordered 11 weeks ago with MT.

Bob Howard in OKC had 2 cement pros come in last week, not sure if they were spoken for or not.
