I was about to say that would be awesome and way easier than taking it apart and painting it.

 

I'm doing the SR bezel personally. It'll be here Monday. Permanent easy solution that should hold up to the elements.

 

Yea, I think this is the best route unless you just want to paint over your chrome one. The SR emblem will be on the list for next pick ups for sure but for now I am going to plasti dip and see how long that last.

 

100% on that, when I was younger I went through 2 Jeeps, have a friend with a newer one and nothing but issue after issue. My son also asked about a Jeep, almost the quickest “no” ever out of my mouth.

 

Gonna remove my grille and paint the bezel tomorrow. See what happens. Plan on using these in this order

 

Since the bezel is plastic I used the scratch fill primer instead of self etching, but I see a lot of the self etching on tw. Eh it’s primer...

Painted my grill bezel today. Didn't pan out. Everything was perfect so I lightly touched it with the back of my hand. Dry. I thought., till I picked it up and ruined it. The humidity in my shop was probably 99% which didnt help. Ordered a new black one today.

 

That sucks!

 

Paint on chrome is eventually going to chip anyway. You'll be glad you have the black bezel.

There are two cement Tacos that I see a couple times a week on my commute. One of these days the guys are going to see my face smashed up against the window like a sad dog. Best color out there, I envy all of you.
