Here is a whole thread on them:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/faux-pro-headlights-with-led-strip.548536/

I added LED bulbs so I couldn’t comment on their output. DRL seems about the same. It was mostly plug and play, there is a bit cutting and splicing as these were designed for non-DRL SR5...details are on that thread. Overall I am quite happy.

Do you notice it in terms of optical clarity?

To the trained eyes, yes you can notice a tiny bit of optical clarity loss, but you really have to look for it. 100% worth having it installed though. If someone installed the Air 80 on your windshield and didn't tell you, you'd never even notice visually.

Yes, stock height, although I am installing a minor 1.5" lift this weekend to give that little extra space. Tires are 265/70/17 KO2s.

Just had my wheels powder coated. Leather getting installed today, I'll have pics of the leather soon. Next up will be painting the grill ring, emblems and smoking the taillights I think. Have a tonneau cover, swing baskets and side steps on order. After that, I'll be deciding on a front bar w/winch and light bar.

Looks great! I'm having mine done soon. What color is that? I talked to powder coaters yesterday and didn't realize there were a million different variations of black.

Usually about $100-150 per wheels plus dismount and remount tires.

Mine is $100 per wheel. Kind of steep but I dont want to buy new ones and try to sale mine. And I like the current ones, just want black.

That’s exactly how I feel. After adding the black wheel vinyls they look so much better. Crazy how big of a difference. I want to make it permanent. I just can’t seem to get a good testimonial from anyone about the powder coat companies in Vegas.

    Thank you both for sharing.

You could buy new wheels just a bit more than what you're paying for powder coat.

    This.

You can buy the 16 inch pro wheels on eBay, sell your stock wheels and come out ahead of what it would cost to powdercoat. Plus you won't have to be without your truck while they're in being powdercoated. And you'll get a tad more poke.

Especially once you factor in selling the stock wheels for about $300-400 or so.
