What are the size and brand of the tires? I have the T4R wheels too so might want to put something similar on. That is stock height/suspension as well, correct?

Looks good man. What type of paint did you use on the tip? Planning on doing the same to mine. What steps did you do? Thanks

So I traded in my ‘17 Pro for a ‘19 Offroad. Had to get an automatic because of my left leg, got shot twice in Iraq and it’s starting to give me problems as I get a little older. I put some 32” Falken Wildpeak AT3’s on it and changed out the chrome grille surround for now, might get a Pro grille later. I really like the adaptive cruise and knowing it has the TSS stuff on it since I drive an hour on the interstate to and from work. I think when these tires wear out I will go with the 17” Pro wheels and 275/70/17 Wildpeaks (I’m really liking the Falkens I have now). I don’t think I’ll ever go bigger than 32’s because of my long commute. I would like to get back some of the suspension sexiness I lost when I traded the Pro in, I was thinking about 6112/5160 combo set to 1.5 in the front with a 1/2” shim in the rear, and doing air bags for when I tow my off-road pop up camper, it’s a Somerset E3 and weighs about 3k. Squats the truck a little when I’m loaded down for camping. Was considering a regear but I’m afraid of the MPG going down, I live in NW Georgia and it’s very hilly. I read somewhere about 4.88’s with and automatic transmission and stock tires but I can’t find it for some reason. Well that’s about it. Here’s the new truck. All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Looking nice. Black out that Grill/Headlights and you will be rocking like you were.
I am in the same boat, I stepped up to 255/85/16s due to the fact we had some new KM2s at the shop I got for nothing.
I have another set of AT3s, that are the 265/75/16s which I liked as well. I got seriously stuck pulling my Offroad Camper thru a nasty little trail. Had to go back to MTs after that.
I like the airbag idea, I have a Icon AAL in now, as I got so much stuff in/on the bed. I may put bags on it, to help out.

Thanks man. Yeah I was thinking about doing a 3 leaf aal but to get 1.5” vs 2” I’d have to remove the overload if I’m remembering correctly. Not sure how that’d affect towing. I might just do 1” front 1/2” rear and that might help me avoid having to get UCA’s and keep a slight rake. But it’d probably be okay with no overload if I run airbags so idk. I’ve got some time to think about it. Yeah I’d like to get the blacked out headlights and tail lights but they are crazy expensive for the Pro ones. I probably will still do it one day because I really liked the look of the Pro, except that stupid hood scoop that managed to blind me at least once a day when the sun hit it just right. I haven’t towed the camper through anything gnarly yet but hopefully the AT3’s are good enough for around here, I mainly just do trails in the National Forest around my area. I’ll tell you what though, the automatic is a hell of a lot easier to back a trailer up a hill! First time I did it with the manual I smoked the clutch pretty good. I was so pissed at Toyota for putting in such a high reverse gear. Starting using 4lo after that.

Do you prefer the wildpeaks to the BFG?

I had load range E 285/75-16’s in the BFG’s. They were very stiff and heavy, about 20lbs more than stock. You could really tell that you had a lot more rotational mass. Total overkill for my 99% of the time interstate driving. I got the Falkens in SL 265/75-16. They weigh about the same as stock. Much more commuter friendly and still enough tire for anything I want to do off road. I think as far as traction and road noise they are pretty similar. I would get a KO2 again but not in 10 ply E rated tire.

I just added the wildpeaks onto my tacoma and love them. Really enjoyed duratracs but they were much louder in comparison(had them on my 05). In gonna need to get some UCAs or get my truck realigned again as I don’t think the first place I had it done did a good job.

I am gonna agree, with all that you said.
The BFGs will do better in the muck, as the AT3s get clogged up and don’t clean out so good. The side lug on the BFG just has better bite in the ruts. The AT3 feels better in the rain.
Both feel planted. I have the E load AT3s on a set of rims and I drive like I am in nascar, so with that being said, they perform well on the road. They also did very well on trails, just not in the mud.

Looks awesome. Are those Pro headlights? How much lift did you go with? I’m wondering at what point I would have to install UCA’s. I’m assuming 1.5” on a 3rd gen (2.5” on 2nd gen)?
